Staff have found the time at the Centre to be a great opportunity to promote and teach the Recovery Curriculum after children have had so much time in isolation. Our initial focus is on a range of more pastoral and enriching developmental activities, rather than solely academic achievement, as this is central to our recovery curriculum”. (Elisabeth, Brooklands Farm Primary School – September 2020) We continue to work tirelessly, with a heavily reduced staff team, to find alternative options for many of our groups who have been unable to visit a Rock UK centre during the last ten months. Regrettably, it is still not possible to offer residential visits due to current government guidelines. Following the latest government lockdown announcement all our centres are closed from Tuesday 5th January until further notice. Our Summit Centre in South Wales will continue to provide takeaway coffee, cake and lunch for those exercising nearby. Our teams have worked hard to ensure that we are ‘good to go’ as we follow all the appropriate guidance to ensure our venues and activities are safe and Covid-19 secure . We continue to follow government guidance and are working to be ready to welcome groups back for a residential as soon as the advice allows. For peace of mind you can continue to book your visit with confidence. If you need to contact us about a booking please email the centre directly and we will get back to you.
